What is Counselling?

 

Counselling is talk therapy. Counselling provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for a person (s) to talk about specific issues and problems in their lives. It could also be that a person seeks to change or evolve a certain aspect of their life within themselves, a relationship or simply a specific area of their life and may not know how to go about it. Sometimes a person wants to explore and understand themselves, their thoughts and feelings more deeply in order to feel better about themselves and their lives. Perhaps there’s particular patterns or themes that seem to reoccur and we are desperately wanting to experience something different ,but unsure of why we cannot seem to make the changes  or experience different outcomes that we  so deeply desire.

 

We all need someone to talk with, to openly share the truth of what’s happening in our lives without the judgement of others and receiving already formed opinions about how things should be that may or may not be in alignment with what we each believe. 

 

Whatever it maybe, having a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk, be seen, heard and supported in our evolving authenticity, can be radically healing, not just for ourselves but to the benefit of all.

 

Holistic Counselling supports not only the mind, but also the body and our spirit (our essence) bringing those vital parts back into communication with one another. What happens in the mind, lives in the body, which also impacts our ability to be happy, whole and in tune with all of life (Spirit). Just like when we are stressed out about something that’s happening in our life, we may experience headaches, nausea or stomach aches, which then affect our ability to feel good, to feel happy. So whilst we address the primary issue through talking, we also locate where it shows up in the body and clear the pathway of communication to bring about a feeling of wholeness and wellbeing within ourselves, that then manifests in our life and relationships. 

 

Holistic Counselling involves a unique and individualised blend of talking therapy, energy healing techniques and helpful tools and resources that support you on your path of Wholeness and Wellness.
